Awareness is acquiring the knowledge of something by been alert, observing and interpreting what our senses detect. It’s clearly perceiving what the relevant facts are.

Self-awareness is recognizing how emotions or desires distort our own perception of the facts.

Awareness and self-awareness are the basic key elements of coaching. Only by raising awareness and constantly nurturing self-awareness, we can start to build the inner attributes allowing us to improve without the prescription of another person.
